CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN

Here are my feelings, I really wish Barack Obama would have won California, but I am still very damn proud of what he did here and what he did around the nation today. I don't think that there is a better person we can find to lead. I have only felt this same amount of passion for one other candidate....Al Gore. I wasn't old enough to vote when he had his changes so brutally stolen from him, but I'm old enough now, and today I went out and showed my pride as a citizen and exercised my duty. Today I said no to Washington with its lobbyist and it's concern for corporations that trample the needs and wants of citizens. Today I said no to the politics of fear and I said no to the politics of inevitability. Today I said yes to hope.

No matter who the democratic nominee for president I will support them, not because I am tied to a particular party, but because I believe them to be infinitely better than any of the alternatives. There are things about Barack Obama that I disagree with, I seriously hope he rethinks his stance on nuclear energy, but those things pale in comparison to what I do agree with him on and what I think he will bring to our nation, our international standing, and our understanding of the international.

I say all of this to say, that I seriously hope everyone else took a good look at what they believed in and stood up today and said yes to what they think is best for our country. It doesn't matter if you disagree with everything I said above as long as you did more than disagree and went out and made your voice heard at the polls. I know that with the way elections have gone these past 8 years people are having a harder time than ever before believing their vote counts, but this is the system we have. For all it's flaws, it is the rule of the land and it is what we work with. So I sincerely hope you got out the vote today, and if you didn't don't come crying to me in November because I don't want to hear it.

CHANGE we can believe in. YES WE CAN
